The Bachelor of Medical and Health Sciences (Honours) degree is a one year program designed to provide you with the skills to demonstrate excellence in research with a clear understanding of a research question in relation to current knowledge. The degree fosters abilities and skills to help you:
plan, design and perform a research project
collect and analyse data
evaluate data
synthesise results and integrate with relevant ideas and concepts
communicate and
put relevant OHS principles into practice.
Course Learning Outcomes
Students graduating from the Bachelor of Medical and Health Sciences (Honours) will be able to:
Communicate extensive and coherent knowledge about an area of medical and health sciences.
Integrate and apply knowledge and skills in medical and health sciences together with research principles and methods to plan and execute a substantial scholarly/research activity.
Produce a piece of scholarly/research activity in the form of a thesis.

UOW recognizes secondary qualifications from more than 40 countries and education systems, including GCE A levels, International Baccalaureate and SAT, and can assess students who have completed the equivalent of Australian high school (Year 12) for direct entry to the first year of a Bachelor degree. English language requirements: IELTS - 6.0; TOEFL - 79, Pearson PTE - 57.
国际学生入学条件
Students must have attained at least a credit average in subjects undertaken in a recognised relevant undergraduate degree. The Postgraduate coordinator and prospective supervisor will determine whether a student’s 300-level subjects are appropriate for entry into the Honours program.
English Language Requirements: IELTS Academic Overall Score of 6.5, reading 6.0, writing 6.0, listening 6.0, speaking 6.0; TOEFL (Internet-based) score of 88, reading 18, writing 18, listening 18, speaking 18; Cambridge English: CAE and CPE score of 176; PTE Academic overall score of 64 (Minimum communicative skill score of 57).
