This course provides students with an in-depth understanding of the exciting disciplines of politics and international relations. Students will learn about the workings of political institutions in countries around the world and explore the complex field of relations between nations. Topics in governance, public policy, public administration, national security and border control ensure that students receive a broad and current education in the range of issues which are covered under the label of politics and international relations. In addition to acquiring specialist knowledge and competencies in Politics and International Relations and Psychology, students will graduate with a range of generic skills such as critical thinking, enhanced communication abilities, problem solving and strong capacities to work with others. They will also develop ethically based and socially responsible attitudes and behaviours. This double degree course is designed for students who intend to follow career paths in Politics and International Relations, Governance and Policy and Psychology. Students complete the Bachelor of Politics and International Relations and Bachelor of Science in Psychology concurrently. Course Objectives To provide an in-depth understanding of politics and international relations and science in psychology paying attention to both the historical and contemporary context. Provide an advanced understanding of the disciplinary perspectives of politics and international relations and science in psychology. Provide an understanding of political institutions and processes and how they operate including, at the national level, institutions and practices of politics, governance and policy, national security and border control; and at the international level, foreign policy, international institutions and the implications of globalisation and post-globalisation. Provide an understanding of science in psychology. Students will develop an understanding of and competence in a range of politics and international relations research methods and analytical techniques and the ability to apply these to research tasks. Students will develop generic skills and attributes that will equip students for success in professional life including critical thinking and professional ethics.

为来自中国的学生设计 English language requirements: International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic - 6.0 overall with no band score below 5.5; Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): IBT - Overall score of 60 with no skill score below: R3: 10, L: 9, S: 16, W: 19; Pearson Test of English (PTE): Academic - 50 with no skill score below 42; Cambridge English Scale (CES) - 169 with no individual sub-score below 162; Occupational English Test (OET) - No grade lower than 'C' in any of the sub-tests. 国际学生入学条件 Successful completion of Australian Year 12 qualification or equivalent. There are specific entry requirements for gaining international qualifications. If students are unable to meet the minimum requirements listed, they may be eligible to access the course via a linking pathway provided by UC College. Other qualifications not listed here will also be considered on an individual case by case basis.
