Manage the occupational needs of an evolving nation Discover the science, strategies, and theories behind a profession dedicated to helping people live full and meaningful lives regardless of age, disability, or limitations - with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. In this course, you will learn to assess a person’s unique issues to offer better, more tailored recovery solutions based on a wholistic and comprehensive look at an individual’s physical, psychosocial and environmental needs. Successful completion of the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy will give you a deeper understanding and appreciation of health issues in Australia, and the skills to help individuals, groups, and communities engage in the occupations they need to, want to or are expected to do. This course also prepares you for further study opportunities and the chance to gain the additional skills to move into senior, more researched based positions. Study a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at UC and you will: obtain a broad and coherent understanding of critical values, theories, perspectives and concepts that underpin the occupational therapy profession be able to use your knowledge, skill and professional awareness to add value to the assessment, intervention and therapeutic process communicate clearly and coherently in a range of occupational therapy settings to a variety of stakeholders be able to read, critique and evaluate evidence from research into the practices of occupational therapy. Work Integrated Learning (WIL) WIL is an integral part of this course, giving you an invaluable opportunity to gain practical experience and form strong relationships with industry stakeholders and professionals before graduating. Over four years, you’ll participate in 1000 hours of practical education in places such as hospitals, health clinics, community organisations, school and aged care facilities both locally or nationally. In some cases, there's also the opportunity to work in rural and remote locations; if available. There is also scope for international study/work placements in countries such as Canada and South East Asia, all of which offer incredible learning experiences and unique opportunities to network at a global level. Career opportunities Graduates of the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy will be able to seek employment within public, private and or voluntary sector settings, as well as provide services in diverse environments such as homes, schools, workplaces, health centres, supported accommodation, housing for seniors, rehabilitation centres, hospitals and forensic centres. Flexible: The unit combines online study with optional on-campus, face to face activities. Intensive: The unit is delivered on-campus and face to face in concentrated time blocks. Placement: The unit involves an internship, practicum or other work place experience program. Some on-campus, face to face activity may also be required. On Campus: The unit is delivered on-campus and face to face, supplemented with online content. Most classes are run on weekdays and during business hours. Online: The unit is studied completely online. On-campus, face to face interaction is not required.

为来自中国的学生设计 English language requirements: International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic - 6.0 overall with no band score below 5.5; Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): IBT - Overall score of 60 with no skill score below: R3: 10, L: 9, S: 16, W: 19; Pearson Test of English (PTE): Academic - 50 with no skill score below 42; Cambridge English Scale (CES) - 169 with no individual sub-score below 162; Occupational English Test (OET) - No grade lower than 'C' in any of the sub-tests. 国际学生入学条件 Successful completion of Australian Year 12 qualification or equivalent. There are specific entry requirements for gaining international qualifications. If students are unable to meet the minimum requirements listed, they may be eligible to access the course via a linking pathway provided by UC College. Other qualifications not listed here will also be considered on an individual case by case basis. There are non-standard English language requirements for this course. To be eligible you must have an academic IELTS or equivalent of 7.0, with no band score below 7.0. TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 94 with: R: 25; L: 25; S: 23; W: 27; Pearson Test of Academic English: 65 with no skill score below 65; Cambridge English Scale: 185 with no sub-score below 185; Occupational English Test: No grade lowers than 'B' in any of the sub-tests.
