The Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSocSc) will challenge your thinking about the world and the people who live in it. The degree focuses on contemporary social issues, the ways in which humans interact with these issues and how such actions can be monitored and modified. Bachelor of Social Sciences with the Faculty of Education The FEDU Bachelor of Social Sciences is underpinned by a strong social justice perspective and is ideal for anyone wanting to make a difference in the lives of children and adults within family, education, community and/or workplace settings. It offers social science majors in areas such as Human Development, Education and Society and Digital Learning along with core papers on teaching and learning. This degree will enable graduates to ensure that managing and promoting learning is not only the role of teachers, but parents, business people, salespeople, health professionals, and local and central government. Digital Learning Technology is now part of everyday life and is increasingly becoming part of our learning environments. With Digital Learning at Waikato you will develop an understanding of the importance it plays in education. Digital Learning blends both technical and pedagogical skill sets. It builds knowledge of digital technologies for and in teaching and learning (pedagogical focus) and to develop understanding of teaching and learning which will encourage better design, development, deployment and evaluation of such technologies (technical focus). Digital Learning includes a range of papers from the education, computer science, screen and media, and graphic and design disciplines. Digital Learning is available as a major for the Bachelor of Social Sciences. Digital Learning may also be taken as a second major or as a minor, subject to academic approval of the Faculty in which the student is enrolled. Papers offered differ by location

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants are also accepted if they hold Senior High School Graduation plus one year successful study at a recognised institution of university standing; or successful completion of a two year diploma at a recognised institution. Other English Language Requirements: TOEFL paper-based score of 550 with TWE rating of 5.0; TOEFL computer-based score of 213 including a TWE of 5.0; CAEL Level 7 with a B grade average and no less than C in any section of the Certificate of Academic English Language (CAEL) programme; PTE Academic overall score of 57 and no less than 57 for Writing; NCEA (NZ schooling) should meet the NCEA literacy requirements for University Entrance (10 credits from the approved standards with 5 reading credits and 5 writing credits); and if English was the language of instruction in the last two years of secondary / tertiary studies then an English waiver can be considered.
