This course is about contemporary politics and political theory, particularly in Britain and Europe, complemented by the study of social and cultural themes in history. The focus is on modern history and politics, but you can choose modules on earlier periods. The learning and assessment percentages could vary depending on the modules you choose. History graduates are highly skilled and readily employable. Through our degrees, you will develop and refine a wide range of skills, both history-specific and more widely transferable. Our graduates become history teachers, accountants and consultants, civil servants, lawyers, museum curators, and archivists or journalists.
