This hands-on course will equip you with excellent skills for a career in industry such as a government agency, civil engineering, the oil and gas industry or consultancy. You will develop a full understanding of a broad variety of marine processes from waves, tides and ocean currents, to sediment transport, fisheries and marine ecosystems.You will be taught by expert staff, many of whom are leaders in their research fields and are working on international projects covering a variety of different challenges from climate change to the exploitation of our oceans.Encompassing two major field trips and potential access to the University’s teaching vessels, you will gain that extra experience that will set you up to embark on the scientific career of your choice.All of our Oceanography courses are accredited by the Institute of Marine Engineering Science and Technology.
