This course will provide you the skills you need to pursue a successful career with a financial institution, consultancy firm, government department or international agency. Formal types of assessment in this course include: Dissertation; Exams; Group project; Seminar presentation; and Essays. This course will help you acquire or develop the analytical skills in economics and finance you need for a successful career as an investment analyst, financial adviser, project manager or consultant. The MSc is also an ideal basis for progression to a PhD. Students can gain the skills that will allow you to work in a variety of organisations. These include: Central and commercial banks, Stockbrokers and other financial institutions, Consultancy firms, Government departments and International agencies such as the World Bank.

Students would normally need a bachelors degree from a recognised institution in a relevant subject. The score they will need depends on which university you attended in China and which subject you are applying to. Typically you would need at least the equivalent to a UK upper second class honours degree, however some courses will accept lower second class honours degrees. Actual requirements will vary by course. A score of 80-85% is considered comparable to a UK 2:1 and a score of 75-80% is considered comparable to a UK 2:2.
