Inspiring Leaders Teacher Training (ILTT) is a School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme who works in partnership with Nottingham Institute of Education, at Nottingham Trent University. Together we have developed an exciting and innovative new course for potential trainee teachers. ILTT currently work with two forward thinking and innovative Teaching School Alliances (TSAs) to provide the training and knowledge you need to become an outstanding teacher which will enable you to deliver an outstanding education to children: All partnership schools are recognised for their experience in supporting trainee teachers and are quality assured by ILTT to ensure they provide you with the best possible training experience. By choosing to work with ILTT you can specialise in either a general primary (5 – 11 years) or Primary Early Years (3 - 7 years) course. Both courses offer you the opportunity to undertake Masters level study, assessment and accreditation whilst being predominantly based in the classroom. The course includes a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) qualification and 60 Masters level credits which you could use to achieve an MA in Education after you graduate. Learning is designed to draw upon and extend the training you receive in school. You can access materials and continually develop your understanding of practice throughout the year, not just for the days that you are at the University. The vocational nature of the PGCE Primary Education degree and the fact that successful completion of the course leads to a recommendation for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) means that graduates are ideally placed to pursue a career as a teacher in the primary age range.
