Petroleum Engineers are at the forefront of ensuring that we have an abundant supply of oil and gas, in a safe and environmentally sustainable manner. With continued worldwide demand for energy, there is no better time to be a Petroleum Engineer.
You are assessed by any combination of three assessment methods: coursework such as essays and reports completed throughout the course; practical assessments of the skills and competencies they learn on the course; and written examinations at the end of each course.
A degree in Petroleum Engineering allows graduates to function effectively in a complex environment and to work across the disciplines of petroleum geology, drilling, production and process engineering. In addition, the underlying attributes, such as logical analysis, problem solving, management and communication, allow them to develop a career in a range of other sectors including finance and management.

In Arts and Social Sciences: Students with overall scores of 80% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. Science: Students with overall scores of 80% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Students must score 80% or above in two science subjects. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. Engineering: Students with overall scores of 80% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Students must score 80% or above in Maths and Physics science subjects. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. Law: Students with overall scores of 85% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered.
