This course examines all elements of food from production to absorption and is based in modern, specialist laboratories containing high-specification equipment. You will have the opportunity to carry out stimulating projects in areas including food processing, quality and safety, technology and the identification of relationships between dietary intake and health. This course is highly practical allowing you to put theory into practice. A range of careers will be open to you when you graduate including product development, technical and quality assurance, marketing, sales or management positions. Nutrition-focused careers can include working in community-based nutrition projects.
