The LLM by Research is primarily made available for those who wish to complete a research degree in one year (full-time) and may be particularly suited to those who already have some practical expertise. The intended subject of the research should normally be one in which the Law School does not offer a taught Master’s degree. Successful applications will contain a viable research proposal, and be focused on our areas of research expertise.

Students must have studied for at least 4 years duration. For courses that require a 2:1 equivalent, students must have achieved 80- 85% in Bachelor's degree. For courses that require a 2:2 equivalent, they must have achieved 75-80 %. Higher grades may be required depending on the ranking of the institution.
